About Me
I received a B.Sc. degree from the Electronics and Communications Engineering Department at the University of Baghdad in 1998, an M.Sc. degree from the same department in 2001. In 2016 I obtained a master of engineering in quality systems engineering from CIISE at Concordia University- Canada, and recently (2020) I completed my Ph.D. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering at Concordia University- Canada.
As for my professional experience, I have been in the educational domain since 1998 where I have worked as Lab instructor at Baghdad University in Iraq, head of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department and teacher of computer science at International Academic School in Abu Dhabi-UAE. And as an ICT lead at Institute of Applied Technology in Abu Dhabi- UAE, and recently as teaching assistant and graduate research assistant at Concordia university in Canada, as well as, lead instructor for the community Initiative program offered by blue berry wallet inc. also in Canada.
I have had extensive experience teaching a variety of engineering courses, such as; Systems Engineering Maintenance Management, System Reliability, Introduction to discrete mathematics, neural networks, and almost all the courses related to quality in engineering.
The nature of my experience has prepared me to foster the transition from a strict reliance on traditional lecturing to a combination of critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and research abilities in every aspect of my teaching.
I am a member of different prestigious and reputed organizations such as; IEEE, IISE, ASQ, AAAI, and Microsoft.
